It is with great sorrow and regret that I communicate the passing of Tad Novak, a friend, neighbour and fathers' rights advocate. He died suddenly yesterday of an aneurysm.
Tad was a founding director and an executive member, first of Fathers For Justice and then of its successor, Kids Need Both Parents from 1991 until 1998. He worked tirelessly and took on many thankless duties from which many others shied away. A quiet soul, he received little recognition aside from the one or two people who understood the true extent of his commitment and contribution.
Although Tad was extranged from his two sons he spoke often of them and shared with many of our members of his successes and failures in the courtroom.
Tad will be missed by all who knew him, especially his partner Kathy Nason and stepchildren Michael, Andrea and Tim.
