The New Zealand Men's Rights Association protests Justice Minister Doug Graham's plan to introduce sexual apartheid into sentencing policy for murderesses and murderers. According to the Dominion of 11 January 1997, he says that mandatory life sentences are inappropriate for battered women who murder their partners.
The time has come to bring men put in New Zealand prisons for alleged domestic violence, rape, and sex abuse to the attention of Amnesty International, and accord them the status of political prisoners. It is also time to ask the Justice Minister whether a mandatory life sentence would be appropriate for the political assassination of a government minister (God forbid that that should ever happen !) who insists on bowing to man-hating, Lesbian Feminist pressure groups and bureaucrats in his Ministry, and determinedly ignores the facts on relevant issues.
The principal facts are (as studies have shown) that women initiate just as much domestic violence as men do, and that, if a partner has been murdered, he has no chance to counter in court any allegations made in court by his murderess about previous domestic violence.
There are a lot of angry men in society, who are fed up with the Goebbels-like Feminist propaganda on television, and the vicious apportioning of all blame to men for any issue that the witches can stir up into an anti-male witch-hunt. Is Mr. Graham trying to make history, by being the first New Zealand minister to provoke a revolutionary act of violence?
Sexual equality is already a one-way street: women are made "equal" to men, but men are never allowed to become equal to women in any area of society. For example, we still have on our statute-books the offence "Assault on a Woman". What has Doug Graham done to ensure sexual equality in that area ? Many more men than women are victims of assault, yet assault on a woman apparently needs a special category, in line with the "Victim Goddess" status that women enjoy in western societies, as a result of Feminist propaganda.
But something positive has come out of this event. Television One News actually presented the views of a Men's Rights activist, Sociologist Dr. Greg Newbold, on camera, and headlined the issue as "controversial". Historically, TV One presnts only the Feminist point of view on such issues, and suppresses any hint that there may exist opposing points of view.
This is a historic breakthrough, following the lengthy and persistent efforts of the New Zealand Men's Rights Association to chip away at the determinedly anti-male bias of much of the mass media, and of TV One in particular. We congratulate TV One on its impartiality in this instance!
It is pathetic that the introduction of a degree of free speech should be regarded as a major victory, but that is the nature of the Dictatorship-via-Political-Correctness that typifies "liberal" democracies today. Without free speech, men and fathers would never be able to get their point of view across and would no doubt be resorting to desperate acts of political violence in the future.
