My guess would be ... ten -- One to change the lightbulb. Nine to argue about whether changing lightbulbs is an activity men should pursue as a glorious reassertion of masculine technical prowess (as The Liberator would say); an activity men should be careful to share equally with women, in order to avoid stereotypes that burden men with the oppressive task of being good with fixtures (as Warren Farrell would have it); or an activity to be shunned altogether, as a symbol of the decadent industrial civilization that has wrenched all of us away from the land and fathers away from families (Robert Bly?).... -- Cathy Young
