Jim Novak, current WFEJ Vice President, will attend as part of a team from Dane County. Jim was selected because of his experience working with government committees and his ongoing service to WFEJ as consultant to those who call the ALL-DADS line for help.
The title of the conference, which will be presented twice for the convenience of those in the eastern and western counties of the state, is "Courts and Communities: Confronting Violence in the Family." Each county will be represented by a team of up to ten individuals, selected by the chief judge whose District includes that county. Those on each county team are to "represent agencies and interests concerned with domestic violence" and for Dane County will include judicial and public safety departments as well as Advocates for Battered Women and WFEJ.
Goals of the conference:
WFEJ encourages all who have a specific interest in this topic, or who have information or comments to share with Him, to get in touch with him promptly. The Dane County team will be assembling soon to prepare for the April conference.
