This seminar will be of interest to all those interested in achieving academic and functional improvements in children/adults of all ages, especially those with special needs including Cerebral Palsy, Autism/PDD, Brain-injury, ADD/ADHD, Tourette's and other learning disorders (e.g. Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Balance & Co-ordination Problems, Language Delay, etc.)

The workshop presenter will be Cathy Stingley, Clinical Director of HANDLE, an American charity based in Seattle and Homer U.S.A. She will be speaking about HANDLE's greatly successful new approach to the diagnosis and treatment of learning disorders, using drug-free means to strengthen weaknesses within the brain of effected individuals.

This is HANDLE's fifth trip to England. During the earlier visits, almost 70 people (presenting with a wide variety of disorders) have been assessed and treated. Many parents are reporting improvements in the behaviours and skills, of their children, across a whole range of disabilities.

During See Yourself and Others Through New Eyes ? Cathy Stingley will guide you:

  • Through a highly successful tool for screening at-risk children, applicable to individuals of all ages

  • In HANDLE's treatment approach, focusing on gentle enhancement of critical developmental functions

Participants will learn:

  • Effective and inexpensive methods to strengthen functions that support learning and social interaction

  • How to apply this knowledge in everyday situations that will enhance the development of crucial neurological functions, as part of a programme which is customized to the individual situation.

From the perspective of natural neurodevelopmental processes, HANDLE provides a unique focus on special needs as they affect social and academic behaviours in the classroom, at home and in the workplace. This FUNctional approach yields significant results in much less time than other therapies currently available!

What others say

"This is crucial information for anyone working with young children. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't benefit!" - Steve Goldenberg, Elementary School Teacher, Bellevue, WA

"It was delightful to have complex neurophysiolagical concepts explained in earthy robust terms that all could understand. Your concepts tie together so much knowledge that has been just "hanging" out there for years .It is amazing how much your thinking has advanced our field, and what you have given us all to build on." - Mary Ahearn, Certified Mental Health Counselor, Bellevue, WA
