In this column I pose questions and raise issues. The purpose is to put a slightly different spin on each item, provoke thinking or give you ideas for how to respond to things. Think of them as "sound bite arguments."

• In our "rape culture" it's safer to date conservative and libertarian women than progressive women, but feminism is not a political issue?

• Tell someone your grandmothers were African American and they will not ask what percentage African American you are, but tell them your grandmothers were American Indians and that's usually the first question they ask. With characteristic humor, Indians respond by joking, "I'm part White but I can't prove it." With characteristic intolerance, progressives respond with accusations of racism. Yes, somebody is racist, all right.
• The first rule of surviving a tsunami: when you see the ocean suddenly recede, run, because if you wait to watch the ocean rushing in, you're already too late. Same rule applies to economic survival.
• Seven years ago I wrote that government officials will delay the economic crash hoping for a miracle in the form of Kondratiev's innovation cycle.
• I understand why women might like football: big, muscular men wearing skin tight pants; but as a man I prefer to watch the cheerleaders!
• Feminism was supposed to be about an individual's freedom to choose their own path irrespective of their gender, which is very libertarian. But feminism in reality is opposed to individual freedom and defines acceptable choices for women as progressive, requiring increased government interference in our daily lives, and condemns as sexist every man who does not support their progressive political agenda.
• Libertarians respect the right of each individual to choose whether the man pays or the couple splits the bill on dates, while feminists require men to pay and women to feel indignant about whatever the men do.
• I was 5 the first time a babysitter fondled me, but this and the many other ways in which some women have misbehaved toward me is hardly indicative of endemic female sexism. Yet this kind of generalization is precisely what feminists do in their diatribes against men. Condemning entire segments of a population for the misbehavior of a relative few is irrational, and so are feminists.
• Second Wave Feminism was based on a lie and it, along with every feminist wave since, rose to prominence on a legion of lies.
• It's hard to respond to articles in which the authors blatantly participate in feminisms' decades old "big lie" campaign against men.
• Voluntary fatherhood may be bad for women, but it's not as bad for the children as abortion.
• Feminists say "Women + Rage = Power" but angry men are a menace to society; isn't it odd, therefore, how hard they try to anger men?
• Feminists hate happy men most of all.
• Men in Utah gave women the right to vote in 1870; feminism had nothing to do with it.
• If the abolitionist movement had not been linked to the suffrage movement, American women would have had the vote decades sooner.
• Economic growth and technological progress have done far more for women's rights than feminism ever has or ever will.
• The progressive agenda is to destroy our liberty and grow the government, and progressivism has infected both the left and the right.
• Lacking a constructive agenda, if deprived of a common enemy feminism would implode.
• Probably more so than fathers and men, mothers oppose feminism because they see the harm it is doing to their sons in school.
• Anybody who truly believes in the dictionary definition of feminism and lives by it is halfway to being a libertarian.
• The dictionary definition of feminism is a false front for the hateful reality of the feminist mainstream.
• Radical feminists have become the feminist mainstream.

• "Equal marriage" is about the license, and the government should have nothing to do with licensing the marriage of anybody, straight or gay.

• Because HP Printers reject off-brand refill toner and HP charges exorbitant prices for HP refills, HP has forever lost all my business; I replaced it with a Brother.
• If the American Empire did not meddle in the affairs of other nations perhaps they would not try to meddle in ours through Agenda 21.
• Progressive neocons claim we can't blame corporations for outsourcing jobs, but that we should defend "American" corporate interests abroad.
• Those who think feminism is not a political issue need to spend time with Libertarian women.
• While women typically suffer the most severe injuries from Intimate Partner Violence, women are more often the perpetrator of acts of domestic violence against children, elders, men and even other women. In her book Violent Betrayal: Partner Abuse in Lesbian Relationships, Claire M. Renzetti reported that gay couples experience the lowest rates of DV, heterosexual couples fall in the middle, and lesbian couples experience the highest rates. So why does the law focus on Violence Against Women rather than both sexes? When the facts are considered, there can be only one answer: Sexism.
• Feminists want all of the rights and prerogatives of agency with none of the obligations or responsibilities that go with it.
• The definition of feminism is libertarian but the reality of feminism is progressive and totalitarian.
• If feminism disappeared tonight it would do more than anything else to ensure continued progress for women.
• The feminist mainstream is committed to creating the backlash they claim to oppose but require to justify their misandry.
• The ultimate goal of feminism is to gain power without responsibility, prestige without effort, and privilege without obligation.
• Feminism is the enemy of equal rights.
• There is no such thing as "the weaker sex," only weak people.
• Feminists reject the notion that the male view counts for anything because feminists are anything but open-minded.
• The neocons' progressive agenda is superficially different but fundamentally the same as the progressive agenda of the liberals on the left.
• Same sex couples have been getting married at least since the 1970s. Both sides of the marriage equality issue lie about that. What both sides do admit is that the point of contention is over government sanction through the issuance of the marriage license. What neither side is willing to entertain is that the government ought not to be involved in licensing marriage at all. Marriage is a private contractual relationship. Licensing marriage is like licensing cell phone contracts and neither are the government's business.
• Whom we marry is none of the state's business and the marriage equality issue would be resolved if the government got out of the marriage license business altogether.
