In this column I pose questions and raise issues. I don't always agree with the conclusion, implied or stated. The purpose is to put a slightly different spin on each item and to promote discussion.

  • Thousands of rich, powerful and famous men support abortion as a convenient means of letting them screw lower-status women with abandon.

  • Opposition to the truth on the grounds that it will have a "chilling effect" is the position of cowards, and the demand for shield laws the act of charlatans.

  • Pop feminists have no courage because they have no convictions, only complaints.

  • Somewhere between Cosmopolitan and the pop feminists, women got the insane idea men want to marry floozies and sluts. As George Gilder noted in Men and Marriage, while many men are willing, even eager to sleep with sluts (being sluts, themselves), few men (slut or otherwise) are interested in marrying such women.

  • Pop feminists argue and popular culture largely agrees it is a woman's right to sleep around, and that's fine. But the question she needs to ask herself is, "Do you want to attempt a long term relationship with the kind of man who is attracted to that kind of woman?" Women's anger, frustration and the high divorce rate suggest not.

  • Knowing the truth is easy, telling the truth a challenge, living the truth a heroic journey.

  • When it comes to women's rights (to have any job they want, do anything they want), everything pop feminists say centers on individual rights; but when it comes to supporting women's rights, suddenly there are no individuals in their rhetoric, only communities working together for the common good. "You go girl" magically transforms into "it takes a village."

  • Pop feminist policies treat men like war criminals. War criminals, however, have rights. To be born male, no matter how innocent the person, marks them for punishment and reparations to make up for the alleged sins of all men.

  • It's not that women's bodies are more sensual than men's, but that men are socialized to focus less on their body and more on work. As women do the same, how will this affect them?

  • Women's studies courses teach women to take everything personally, but responsibility for nothing.

  • People are highly resistant to uncomfortable truths but love to hear pretty lies.

  • Most employers are organized but most employees are not.

  • Some say the remote control units for television are suggestively phallic, and this is because they are primarily intended for men. Certainly, that would explain all the phallically shaped tubes of white, creamy lotions men buy at the cosmetics counter. Oh, wait, that's women. Never mind.

  • Do older men marry younger women because of sex or ego? Exceptions who prove the rule aside, you can't make babies with a 50-year old woman. What about marrying them for companionship? How many American men really want a long-term relationship with women who think "all men are rapists" and shows like Melrose Place and Jerry Springer reflect the reality of more than a minute fraction of society?

  • Pop feminists say they stand for gender equality, but if actions speak louder than words, it would be more accurate to say what they really stand for is "separate but equal except when it suits us."

  • Twenty years ago, feminists like Shulamith Firestone and Kate Millett believed what they said. Now, many of the movement's leaders are pragmatic, unprincipled and politically motivated. They are not true believers, but feed upon the fanaticism of their followers. They are politically astute, culturally cunning and their goal is power.

  • When it comes to social awareness of environmental issues, sometimes it takes a spillage.

  • Liberals argue against "laws regulating morality." But all laws regulate morality. Hence, applying their argument across the board would entail legalizing rape, theft, murder, assault, harassment, fraud and all the other acts most of us agree are immoral. What they lack is a simple understanding of property rights.

  • Many people want to believe the end is near so they will have an excuse to behave irresponsibly.

  • Every man longs to be a hero, every woman, a princess.

  • There are no stupid questions, only stupid people asking them.

  • When a man calls for the police because his wife or girlfriend is hitting him, with encouragement from pop feminists the police will remove him because, so the reasoning goes, he poses a greater threat: being male, he's bigger, stronger and meaner. But when girls want to join boys' football teams, long-time critic of male violence Gloria Allred goes on FOX News (November 19, 1999) to tell the world girls are as big, bad and buff as the boys. Typical: they want it both ways.

  • Many women are very vocal in expressing their disappointment with men, but they are enraged when they find many men are equally disappointed with them.

  • Abortion is the means by which people kill for convenience.
