In this column I pose questions and raise issues. I don't always agree with the conclusion, implied or stated. The purpose is to put a slightly different spin on each item and to promote discussion.
- There are few so sexy as a woman who is not self-absorbed yet remains fully herself.
- Black is beautiful, white is wonderful.
- If men face a higher degree of sexual frustration than women, and high levels of frustration lead to stress and anger, then why should anyone blame the innate nature of masculinity for the higher incidence of violence among men? Impose high levels of frustration upon women and they get violent, too.
- Under the watchful eye of political correctness, Anglo Americans are becoming less expressive, always wearing poker faces.
- We should never let fear of being accused of bigotry prevent us from seeing what is, or telling what is true. But that's no excuse to hate.
- In the wake of deregulation, Cable TV companies are preparing to hike up prices on basic services to subsidize their Cable Modem high speed Internet networks.
- When a man is alarmed pop feminists say he feels angry but when a woman is alarmed they say she feels afraid.
- "We all want what we can't have," a pop feminist once told me, referring to those pesky men who want love, or children, or a place in their children's lives. Psychobabble. To some degree, every higher life form wants family, affection and connection. "Can't-have" has nothing to do with it.
- Men lie because women play games. Or, is it women play games because men lie? Either way, it's a vicious circle that can only be broken when both sides stand down.
- A huge number of Americans are addicted to mind-numbing over the counter drugs.
- Most freeway congestion is caused by emotional rather than environmental conditions.
- What your partner doesn't know won't hurt them; a successful relationship is built on dishonesty, or so many seem to say. Pop feminists nurture this kind of attitude, encouraging a legal climate in which men who lie stand the best chance of getting sex and love. But deception leads to self deception, self deception to confusion, confusion to doubt, then doubt to rage until finally, it collapses into hate. Hate is a very sad state.
- Pop feminists say women plus rage equals power. What they really mean is, women plus hate equals a mob they can use to get power. But then, like a relationship that begins with love and devolves through deception to end in hate, pop feminism is built upon a precious few truths contaminated by a tragic multitude of lies.
- Many of the superior female qualities pop feminists attribute to women are characteristics of Chinese culture, while many of the inferior male qualities they attribute to men are characteristics of the American culture.
- Finger pointing fanatics are the fifth most likely to be guilty of their favorite sin. The others: the political, academic and judicial institutions who cater to them, followed by those whom they accuse.
- Many women confuse ignorance and stupidity with confidence and virility.
- Many women are most attracted to men who are willing to break the rules.
- War makes good theater but bad public policy.
Why Americans are becoming the way they are
- Those most able to hate are most likely to win.
- Honesty is frequently penalized and seldom rewarded.
- Rule breaking is frequently rewarded.
- Those who whine first laugh last.
- Vulgarity is vaunted.
- Network TV and retail outlets pander to the lowest common denominator.
- Politicians solve their personal problems by killing people in other countries.
She said/ He said/ She said
She said: Men are never willing to admit they don't know.
He said: I don't know.
She said: Wimp.
She said: Men only want one thing.
He said: Would you like to engage in some non-sexually oriented activity as a means of getting to know one another better?
She said: You're a nice guy, but I'll be getting laid that night.
She said: Men are so full of themselves.
He said: Men have feelings too.
She said: Who cares?
She said: Men are such children.
He said: May I have your phone number?
She said: Like I could really be interested in a geek like you!
She said: Men are so irresponsible.
He said: Sleep around, get pregnant, pay your own way.
She said: You selfish jerk!
