I had a multi-msg communication going with him insisting that the Times was indeed pro-feminist, "women as victim", sexist. I think he noticed my points but no change of mind... on the part of either of us... was admitted. He finally closed by telling me that when "I read the Times on a current continuing basis, he'd listen to my opinion." He stopped me with that one as I'm simply not willing to make such a great sacrifice (grin).
In any case, I did look for a paper the other day and was assaulted with the usual from the Times... an above the fold headline about these two police officers that were so terribly abused becasue they were allegedly washed down in front of jeering male fire fighters. I recently pointed out to Fancher that many more men have died in the workplace and have registered for public service (100% vs 0%) during this same period of time that women who have been "humiliated." I doubt that he will be impressed.
In any case, I'm including his E-mail address again. Feel free to remind him every time men are once again ignored or insulted by the Times and/or women are portrayed as innocent and helpless victims etc.
Write him at Mike Fancher. Who knows, if he hears enough, he just might make a change.
