Lobbying for Fathers

Our association is the Equitable Child Maintenance and Access Society, usually shortened to E.C.M.A.S. We have four chapters in Alberta in Edmonton, calgary, Lethbridge and Fort McMurray with others under construction at Red Deer, Medicine Hat and Grand Prairie. We are a lobby group determined to affect change in the following areas:
Presumptive Joint Custody
Shared and Equal Access
Access Enforcement
Fair and Equitable Maintenance
We have been fairly successful in being heard; we are currently engaged in discussions with Brian Evans (Alberta Justice Minister) and recently effectively tok over Mr rock's presentation on the Tax changes when he appeared in Edmonton. We are about two years old and have approximately 500 members.
