Yes-but Feminists and the Military Draft
By Rod Van Mechelen
Feminists assure us they stand for real gender equality, and then come the, "yes, buts."

Pop feminists are fast to say that anyone who stands for equality is a feminist by definition. But, when it comes to real gender equality, they turn into "yes-but" feminists.
- Yes-but our focus is only on women's issues.
- Yes-but we live in a patriarchal, male-dominate society and need to redress women, first.
- Yes-but we need to focus on women's "special needs."
- Yes-but war is something only men do, only men cause wars, only men are violent, only men are the problem, if anyone should be drafted, only men should be drafted, it's not our problem."
And so on.
Hypocrites.
